BET is ending it long running show, Rap City, very soon. Rap City has been on for 21 years...21 years!!!! Rap City is almost as old as me. I didn’t even like rap for half those years. That’s amazing and sad. A statement from BET reports that “rap music has gotten so ignorant, there’s no need to display it all at once and that we’d rather spread it out during the day.” Lmao, they ain’t really say that, but that’s prolly what they were thinkin. I mean with 106 and Park still showin wack ass songs that are “chosen” by the viewers… First TRL now Rap City? Viacom is prolly just feelin the impact of the recession and is cuttin back on music video shows on music video channels (yea, it doesn’t sound stupid to you only).
