Coach fired for running up score

Well, the coach for the winning team was fired on Sunday. It’s being reported that he’s mainly gettin fired due to disagreeing with the schools apology, but the school is makin it seem disciplinary for runnin up the score. I didn’t think he shoulda been fired, but suspended or something. I mean…what really needs to be said? I feel sorry for the people tryin to defend the coach, talkin bout you have to play hard until the end. Huh? Since when? WHO PLAYS HARD ONCE THE GAME IS WON? When a game is out of reach for the opponent, the winning team always benches its starters so that A) the starters don’t risk gettin injured. B) Gives the second and third string time to shine C) It shows some sportsmanlike conduct. The coach didn’t care for any of that, because accordin to a mom that was at the game (and she was a mom for the losin team, so it might be biased) the winning team was in full court press and shootin 3s in the 4th. They finally let up once they hit the 100 mark. I was watchin PTI (Pardon The Interruption) and it was suggested that the people who scheduled this match up should be fired. Don’t know if I agree to that, because who else would the girls at the special needs school play?

  2. how many special needs schools do you think they have?

it's hard enough having a budget to hire teachers for special needs students in a regular school, let alone have a budget to make a separate school.

  3. youve clearly never played organized sports ... when the bench warmers get in the game, guess what, they want to play well just like everybody else ... they practice just as hard as everyone else and they want to be able to taste some real action

the coach that lost 100-0 is the one who should have been fired ... you know who else has learning disbalities? half of professional sports! no excuse

  4. The Dallas Academy is a school for kids with dyslexia, its not like the kids are physically handicapped.

Also I think they need to remove basketball from their list of "competitive" sports...

  5. I know that they don't have physical disabilities. And I know they have a losing record for 4 years. But that doesn't mean people should shit on them.

i know that the bench plays just as hard, but they ain't still running full court presses and tryin to drop threes. I mean really. It was 59-0 at the half. How nice is the bench to score another 41 pts in the second half? 8 min quarters.
