Election day

I hate when things disrupt my life. I was gonna do the usual mindless, big breasted, all fluff no stuff rant today. Then I see a video of another person twisting things (listen to how fast he talks, since when do we trust fast talkers?). I don’t care if you are a Republican, that’s fine. I just don’t know why you’d vote one in this year. For the past century, I think everyone can agree that (for the most part) Democrats know how to make money and Republicans know how to spend it. This dude is talkin bout opening up a book, but the most important book he forgot about is called a history book. Don’t talk to me about Socalism and Captalism and Communism and all these other –isms you picked up from a person writing about how THEY feel it works. Because you can easily pick up another book that flips it around. Why do people want to move to America? For the American Dream usually, right? What’s that dream? Somethin along the lines of working hard will allow you to live the lifestyle you want. Land of equal opportunity. I guess coming from another country it would seem equal, but that’s another rant. I guess nobody leaves their country because of the oppressive government. Nobody comes to America because they know their civil liberties are protected (for the most part). Nobody comes to America because they know that being homeless in America is better than being homeless anywhere else. Nobody comes to America because they know that America takes care of Americans. Nobody comes here because of that. Basically, the American Dream has some socalist aspects that make it work. I have a full time life, so for me to properly dissect this video just would take too much time. So let me say this (again) look at the history of our country. Stop tryin to predict the future. Franklin D. Roosevelt (Dem) took over after 8 years of failed policies (both were Republicans, one is considered one of the worst Presidents of all time (soon to be replaced by Bush once he dies, lol) ). And he turned this country around. And how did he do it? With a little “Socalism” (and granted economies usually do better during times of war (except our case), the turnaround started before the war). He provided relief to the unemployed (which was started by a Republican, but too little too late), and created a bigger government with more beaucracy. He stabilized the economy by helping people put faith in the economy. Did FDR almost take it too far? Yes. But even when he had Congress and the Courts in his pockets, HE STILL COULDN’T GET ALL HIS LEGSILATION PASSED.

  1. "Democrats know how to make money and Republicans know how to spend it."

I have never read anything more misguided.

You made the assumption that because Bush has wasted more money than anyone in history that all republican's desire that or are even satisfied with that.

Here is a better point, you claim to want increased government, Bush has expanded the government more than any other president in history and you seem pretty displeased with how his term has gone (hell I'm F'ing pissed he jacked up our country so much). So what makes you think putting in "your" candidate, who has pledged to do the exact same thing is going to help?

  2. You are right, both parties need better accountants lol. It seems FDR and Clinton are the only 2 dems that can manage money.

I don't think a big government is needed, I'm just saying it's not as bad as everyone makes it seem. There are some things that don't need to be regulated by them, you already turned my view on that one, but on the flip side the country is growing and there are some branches/depts needed now that weren't 20 years ago.
