Man "cured" from HIV with stem cell transplant
A patient with HIV and Leukemia had a stem cell transplant to cure the Leukemia and now doesn’t have any traces of HIV in his system either! Modern miracle? Maybe. The doctors still have to observe him for a bit and make sure the virus isn’t just layin dormant in another part of his body. And even if he is cured, don’t rush to your local hospital hoping for treatment. Doctors say the procedure is extremely risky (a third of the patients die from the transplant). So why am I posting this news if it’s almost irrelevant? I don’t know maybe I like to give false hope like Barrack, hahahahahahaha. Yeah, I took it there. If every comedian is scared to take shots at him, then I’ll do it. Anyways, the doctors have concluded that a certain gene only found in white Europeans (go figure) has the ability to block HIV from infecting a person. And if a person has two of the genes then they have the ability to have sex with people and cure them from HIV. Did I mention that I was of German decent? Yah Volkswagen sauerkraut. Hasselhoff for life!
