Congress extends digital broadcast deadline
If you are one of the few people left in the United States that doesn’t A) own an HDTV B) a converter box, or C) have cable/satellite then I feel sorry for your dumb ass. Because you know that after February 18th all TV stations will broadcast their signals digitally. Huh? Oh wait, this just in…you lucky. Congress has just extended the date to June 12th due to the recession. I personally don’t see the point. If you don’t have A, B, or C by now then TV isn’t really for you. You prolly don’t care or don’t watch TV. So why are we extending the date? If this didn’t cost money, then I would keep my trap shut. "The additional four months provided by the law affords urgently needed time for a more phased transition, including a consumer-friendly converter box coupon program, stepped-up consumer outreach and support -- particularly for vulnerable populations -- and dealing with coverage, antenna and reception issues that went too long unaddressed," said FCC acting Chairman Michael Copps. Sounds like people are just spendin money on things it don’t need to be spent on. When is Congress gonna pass the bill and make me the official blog of the United States? Send me some fundin. BLOGGING IS DEAD! Lmao.
