The new iPhone paperweight

New iPhone is comin out. I don’t really have any feelings towards the phone except that it’s another overpriced bullshit product from Apple. Don’t get me wrong, I totally dig the iPhone and think the Apps store is worth the conversion. But the actual phone itself is lacking terribly. And I really was hoping that this 3rd generation (damn, 2 years already?) would have finally made the iPhone THE phone to get. The new iPhone has more memory (duh, like any other Apple product), a built in compass…now wait a second. What the FUCK does anyone need a compass for? Is the built in GPS no longer adequate for people’s needs? Are people in the woods with their iPhones gettin lost? It’s not like they get service in the woods anyways, why bring a phone? It’s supposedly faster but yet still doesn’t multitask. I want to have 3 apps running at once damnit and the ability to talk on the phone. The only clear upgrade is the battery life which is expected. You know that the Palm Pre charges wirelessly? That’s the kinda shit I wanted Apple to hit us over the head with. The first cell phone to do video conferencing. Or the first phone to do the dishes. Something!!! The iPhone is kinda like LeBron James to me – much potential but overhyped at the onset. LeBron has come through and proved his greatness, when will the iPhone do the same?
