Green schools budget

The House just passed a $6.4 billi legislation to make schools greener. It’s an attempt to kill multiple birds with one stone. First, there are a lot of schools that need renovation and patches to be filled (especially in the Katrina area) and this money will go towards fixing those schools. Second, it helps create more energy efficient schools which in the long run will save money. Third, it’s going to provide construction jobs since this money is strictly to be used for fixing up schools. And of course the students (and teachers) are going to benefit from going to a school that actually looks and FEELS like a school, instead of lookin like a housing project. I am all for this bill and hopes the Senate agrees too.
