Army makes wounded pay for medicial bills

Another benefit of a capitalist society. Erik Roberts, an Army sergeant who was wounded in Iraq, got a bill for $3,000 for his surgery. Huh? Please tell me how this computes. A person gets injured on the job and there is no worker’s compensation to help them? And of all the jobs you would expect worker’s comp, the military would definitely be number one on the list. The Department of Veterans Affairs has finally agreed to pay for the bill but that’s after a Senator got involved AFTER CNN brought it to his attention. That shit is like ‘wow’ to me. Seriously, how did this even become an issue or a story? No solider wounded in battle should ever pay for their treatment. But I guess when it’s all about makin the money, you get it from everyone and anyone you can stick it to.
