A wise judge in the Supreme Court

Congratulations to a wise Latina!!! Judge Sotomayor was easily confirmed in a 68-31 vote. All I know is if we can get a Hispanic Justice, then maybe we can teach them how to drive!!! Regardless of how much people try to downplay race in America, there is no denyin that this confirmation is a victory for Latinos/Latinas in the country. Just like how the little black boy believes he can be President someday, the little Latina believes she can do more with life than have a kid at the age of 16. It’s a beautiful thing. And the best part is that these people weren’t elected because of their color, but because of their qualifications. Don’t worry white people, your power is slipping but you won’t be treated the same way you treated them. I hope…

  1. if it's not about race then why do you even mention her race, why does every news channel mention her race?

This is extremely dangerous for the next 30 years of our society, we appoint a woman who has a history of "legislating" from the bench, a woman who doesn't have the feintest idea what the Constitution is.

  2. Because Jennifer Lopez couldn't get appointed to a bench even if she was third string on a softball team. That's why i said she didn't get appointed based on race. But her race does matter to all the kids with no prominent role models to look up to.

I'm pretty sure she's not as dangerous as the other judges that have come and gone.

  3. She is far more dangerous than you surmise. she has been quoted as saying "the role of a judge is to legislate from the bench".
