Summer camp with DNA testing

What happened to good parenting? Encourage and properly nurture you kids so that they become great. Now parents wanna cheat? “Here, this is what your child is good at. Make them do this.” Even if a child is good at somethin, does that mean it’s what they should do? I’ma decent programmer, but I hate computers. Seriously. All I want to use a computer for is porn, internet, and Facebook. You ever seen the movie Gattaca? Ethan Hawke, Jude Law, and Uma Thruman. Great movie. The movie is based in the future with a society where people’s jobs are predetermined based on their genes. Crazy right? Well I don’t wanna ruin the movie, but a janitor ends up murdering someone just so that he can take over his life and not live as a janitor anymore. Like I said, great movie. But is that what we want for our kids? “Oh, his DNA doesn’t have the ‘genius’ gene so he’ll be a trash collector.” Haven’t we learned that it’s all about heart? I hope our society doesn’t fall prey to this kinda thinkin…but considerin how everyone is lazy and wants to strike gold, I wouldn’t be surprised if this becomes the norm.
