Loon has gone looney

Oh my. This is what workin for Diddy does to you…makes you lose your fuckin mind. I mean a lot of rappers have “embraced” Islam and refer to it in their raps but they don’t grow out a Taliban beard to go with their faith. But I’m happy for the dude. He says he found happiness and peace, which most likely means he doesn’t have to record the albums he owes Puff. That’s why he was actin camera shy about bustin an Islamic freestyle because if he started rappin Puff would make him put out an album for Muslims. Did anyone say “I need 30 Virgins part II”?

Malice didn't mean harm

Wow, that was a wonderful PSA…just 15 years too late. Rap has already ruined the lives of a lot of youngsters and has put kids on a path they can’t just “separate” from. Now don’t get me wrong. I love hip hop and I love rap music…and I actually appreciate the fact that Malice made this video. But to me, it’s akin (akin has been my word of the weekend) to the tobacco companies tryin to come clean and say “hey, we know smoking kills you and that’s why nobody in my family smokes. But when I go to work, I make cigarettes to help you enjoy the nicotine you crave.” Fuck outta here. Get on some Iron Man shit, and instead of creating weapons to destroy, think of ways to use your talents to help.

Paris and Snoop freestyle

I wish I had a sniper bullet to kill myself. Because people like Paris Hilton will always exists. And idiot rappers like Snoop will always exist. So the best option is to kill MYSELF and just let the world continue…on its downward spiral.

Joaquin Phoenix aka Firebird Man

Joaquin Phoenix announced his retirement from actin last October. We all should know that. And if you don’t know who Phoenix is, shame on you. The man is a pretty dope actor. What I didn’t know, and maybe you did, was that he was gonna go into music. Rap to be specific. I thought we were done with the white boys that wanted to rap. Bubba Sparks was the last of a dying breed. Lil’ Wyte doesn’t even show up on Three Six Mafia songs anymore. What gives? Is there resurgence for this madness? What on earth is he gonna rap about? I guess if some clowns called the Brooklyn Playmakers can make an album, anyone can. At least one of the three rappers in the group was black (hint, it wasn’t Panama Black). HAHAHAHAHAHA!

No more poppin champagne

My friend’s status message says “hasn’t heard a rapper say ‘make it rain’ in a while. The recession is a MoFo.” Just let that swirl in your head for a bit. Funny as it is, it’s the scariest shit I’ve heard. When RAPPERS, the spenders (and #1 source of reasons to live outside your means) of this country aren’t spending, you have a problem. Maybe it’s their fault we bought up all these things we couldn’t afford. But at the end of the day I’m gonna blame that greedy white man who didn’t say no because he knew that extending credit to those who didn’t have it would fatten his pockets as well. I mean black people JUST got money, white people been havin money for CENTURIES, why would you expect them to know how to act? Recessions hurt hip hop.

"Oh you're kiddin me, that was a good one. You're first good one..."

So yesterday I called the Kanye album not worth purchasing. Today, I plan on buyin the album (for me ‘today’ means sometime within the next month). What caused this change of tune? Well because I’m supporting an idea not the album. I want this album to do well (record sales) because I want people to get creative now. I don’t want the same cookie cutter rap albums anymore. I want someone to take it to a new level of creativity. While I was in the shower thinkin (second most idea generating place in my apt, the first bein the toilet), I want someone to make a rap album that is one big story. When’s the last time we’ve had one of those? I don’t want a bunch of songs thrown together for the sake of makin an album or a barely there concept. I want one story, broken down into 12-14 tracks. Like Trapped In The Closet, but more edgier less comical. And it won’t even have to limit the artist, if they are creative enough. Like they could have a party track but that club banger has to be relevant to the story. So the chick he popped champagne on is the same chick he rapped about 2-3 tracks ago. You feel me? I want it flow and connect so well that someone could listen to the album and write a screenplay from it. Let’s take it to that level. If that happens, then purchasing the Kanye album will be well worth it.

Jar Jar and CP3O may have had the funniest verses. “You’re just jealous my black dick bigger”
