No love for David Beckham in LA
I’ve never heard Beckham talk…no Bruno, but I don’t think girls were expectin such a whiney voice. The British accent makes it worse too. Anyways, I’m not here to talk about Beck’s voice box. I said 2 years ago when David was brought to the Galaxy that it was the most expensive mistake ever made. David didn’t come here because he wanted to play soccer; he came here because his wife wanted to be an American celebrity. Who goes from playin soccer on a world class level back down to a high school level? But everyone thought that this would work out, that David would be kick start needed to make soccer popular in America. Did everyone forget that the MOST famous soccer player EVER already played in the States and it didn’t do shit back then? Face the facts, soccer has too much finesse to be appreciated by Americans. Seein people kick the ball backwards just to move forward goes over the (meat)heads of many. The lack of timeouts or breaks means that it’s impossible to raid the fridge every 10 minutes for a beer. The low scoring makes it “too boring” for most to bear. Blah. Soccer is the best sport in the world without a question. It’s fun, it’s easy, it keeps you in shape unlike any other contact sport. To hear that David tried to go into the stands at fans that were hecklin him is disappointing. Considerin his performance off the field, he should be prepared to be the bad guy.

Ugh, another week of madness.
I mean damn…I guess life goes on huh?
Shout out to team U.S. and their incredible showing out in the FIFA Confederations Cup. That was truly amazing. Even though they lost 3-2 against the mighty Brazil, I think they showed the world that they are ready for the World Cup next year. Keepin it easy today…gotta travel.

Kaká and Ronaldo team up
Good newsssss for Real Madrid fans. Not only did ya’ll get Kaka but add Ronaldo to your list! Do you know how much these mofos dropped on these two players? $132 milli for Ronaldo and $92milli for Kaka. AND THAT’S JUST FOR THE PLAYERS! No talks on how much they paid their agents or how much they paid the previous clubs to release them. Obviously the recession hasn’t affected European futbol. Since my roommate is a Man U fan, we’ll most likely still follow them next season. Me? I pledge no allegiance to a team, just to a player, and will prolly player more attention to Real next year. I’m more of a nationals follower than clubs because with clubs the amount of green limits the caliber of your team. One team can buy up the best 11 players in the world and that would be fine. Kinda wack to me. So I like watchin the World Cup and the qualifying matches…that’s where the real action is for me.

David Beckham is leavin LA
David Beckham has reportedly stated that he wants out of his contract with LA Galaxy so that he can play with AC Milan. For many of you, this may come as a shock. If you’ve followed the Rant while it was still in the womb, then you’d know that I called this 2 years ago when they first signed him. Beckham play for the States? HA. For that much money? A fuckin waste. America doesn’t care for futbol, never has and prolly never will. End of discussion. Now if he can only get Posh to pack up and leave, which isn’t goin to be easy. Posh is really tryin to get David to stay in the U.S. because she’s tired of movin and she tired of uprooting their kids. Posh..why do I keep callin her that? Victoria definitely wins some “mommy” points in my book for that. But at the end of the day, Dave is the bread winner and he gets what he wants. So goodbye Beckhams, it was nice havin ya in LA for a bit. Visit often.
