Windows 7 fails out the gate for some users

New Windows 7 just came out…and of course it failed. It appears that students who upgraded online ran into some issues if they were running a 32-bit machine. Long story short, another point for Mac. And I’m not a Mac user. I haven’t taken a bite of the tainted Apple (pun intended). I just know that Macs have the same issues a PC does (just not as frequent). But if you gave me $2500 (the cost of a Mac Pro) to build you a PC, please believe that will be the best PC you’ve ever used in your life. And that’s what Mac users don’t understand. This isn’t like buying a Toyota Camry instead of a Ford Taurus. This is like buying a Mercedes S-Class instead of a Taurus. If you invested the S-Class money into the Taurus, you’d get the same quality and more. Anyways, I’m done with Vista. Hated it from the day I installed it. I will most likely be buying Windows 7 (got that family hoooook up!) but not until Service Pack 2 comes out lol. Never buy a Windows OS until Service Pack 2 is out.

Leave it to Honda to be 1000 steps ahead of the game. That is the chair of the future. You ever see a chair with wheels and all you do is sit in it and push yourself to wherever you wanna get? If you have an office or small studio, that is the chair to have. Lazy, but so much fun. Honda just took it to a whole new level. Matter of fact, that beat that level, beat the game, and decided to develop a new game based off the old one. Damn.

Television in 3-D

It looks like 3-D TV is gonna be the next wave in television technology…and it may be comin sooner than you think. Many companies (including Sony, JVC, and Panasonic) are workin on making these TV sets available by next year. Some channels like ESPN are broadcasting in 3-D (they have dual-lens cameras now). I think that is totally cool that the prices for the new TVs won’t be any more than how much HD TVs cost now. There are small kinks to work out, such as the glasses givin people headaches. Some critics think that 3-D TV won’t do that well because not all shows really need to be in 3-D, like the news for instance. I think it would really help with the movies if anything which is why I’m glad Blu-Ray movies might start coming out in 3-D as well. I really wanted to see “Up” in 3-D but I don’t think I’ll have the chance anymore…I need to make friends with people with younger nieces and nephews lol. Could you imagine if they took this technology to porn? I’m surprised the porn industry hasn’t already hopped on this (no pun intended). POV (point of view) movies would be top sellers!!!

GM is ready to reinvent

While it’s not flyin cars, it appears General Motors is movin in the right direction for innovation (kinda). GM invested $25 million into the Global Battery Systems Lab. Here they plan to develop and test the drivetrains for the Chevrolet Volt and other hybrids both battery-electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Like I said, it’s not flyin cars but I can clearly see the government giving a “green” incentive later on for purchasing these kinds of cars. I know there are already rebates for fuel efficient and environmentally friendly cars but those were created by oil barons running the White House. I think Obama will create new programs that will really reward people for thinkin green. GM is also workin with the University of Michigan to create a battery-engineering curriculum. So not only is GM employing more engineers but they are takin steps to creatin more engineers too. I don’t know about you but I’m startin to feel good about GM’s future. I still shoulda sold my stock and bought it back at a lower price. Oh well, live and you learn.
