RIP Commissioner Gordon. Pat Hingle died at the age of 84 due to the blood disorder myelodysplasia.

Being overweight is not ok...in NY

When I first heard about NY’s Gov. David Paterson’s proposal for an obesity tax, I was like dammmn he gonna make people pay like they weight! I’d make people pay per pound overweight they were. $1 per pound and $.50 per pound if you are part of a gym. Then I read the article and realized that he plans on taxing any beverage that is sugar heavy. This seems like a good idea, because that worked well with cigerettes. It cut down on the amount of smokers and people developin lung cancer. Then I figured out what was wrong with the tax. Right now he just wants to tax drinks. When the positive results come in, are they gonna start taxing food? If they start taxing food then it really wouldn’t be fair to the city kids. See suburban kids eat fatty foods because they can. They kick and scream and pout and mommy gives in so that a scene isn’t made. But most kids that live in the city eat the fatty foods because they are cheap and that’s all mommy can afford. If we start taxing those foods, it’s just gonna make it harder to put food on the table for some families. I think Paterson’s is thinkin in the right direction, but it needs tweakin.

I don't see what the big deal is

Did SNL cross the line? Maybe. While I do think that it’s wrong to make fun of somethin a person had no choice in (such as disabilities), black people get made fun of all the time. I don’t even order fried chicken around white people anymore, and when I don’t they look at me like I’m sick. Bein a public figure, he should just suck it up. It’s not like any blind person saw the skit. Straight to Hell , don’t pass Go, don’t collect $200.
