Lil' Wayne has gone back to sucking

Looks like the Kanye effect is startin to spread. Lil’ Wayne has a song called “Prom Queen” which is basically him takin his Benji Madden persona to the next level. Dude is like the black Travis Barker. Which I guess is a good way to reach other audiences...it’s being creative…and it’s 100% being a sellout. At least what Kanye did was still hip hop-ish (? I think, maybe I should listen to it again because it was really toeing the line between hip hop and pop). But this “Prom Queen” shit is garbage to me. It’s just him auto tuning over a guitar riff. I swear, niggas got nice on Rock Band and Guitar Hero and now they wanna be rock superstars (I’m talkin bout YOU Jetson!). I won’t be spinning it or coppin his next album if this is what’s it’s all about. Is there any musician that has crossed genres and been successful?
