Iceland's first lesbian PM
While the US takes great pride in big social changes, ending of slavery or the first black president, we are always last in line to make these changes. I mean take for instance Iceland. They just selected their first lesbian premier. I mean, it wasn’t an official election by the people or anythin like that, so make sure to read the article to get the full scoop. But Johanna Sigurdardottir, who first started out as a flight attendant, has been in the Parliament for 30 years now and now due to the current financial turmoil of Iceland she’s been selected to lead the change. Pretty cool.
